NOOK
Set up: Ethan left for now, but he’ll be back later for round 2. Now, Alan needs to take care of Kait. Can he work his magic and convince Kait to go home?
***Note: This takes place a few paragraphs later from last week’s snippet, and the snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit. Super fancy punctuations and also lines were eliminated. lol

“I was aboot to order another round,” she said and took a step and teetered on her feet, but Alan took hold of her arm to stop her from falling.
“Kait, ye need to go home.”
She stood facing him, still as a statue as if the sound of his voice soothed her into obedience; and he’d done the same thing with Ethan, his dog, and hell, she supposed he’d done it to her as well.
“I’m gettin’ right bladdered, arenae I? Okay, okay, I’ll go, but…” Kait’s chuckle gave way to another hiccup as she leaned forward and kissed the side of Alan’s mouth, “doonae forget,” she said and turned away without saying goodbye to anyone else.
God, the woman irked Michaela… hanging all over Alan as if she owned him. Taken back by the sudden surge of jealousy, she shifted in her seat uncomfortable with her reaction to a man she didn’t know.
Alan turned his full attention on her with intent evident in his eyes as he strode over and pulled up a chair.

It looks like Alan and Michaela may have some alone time after all. 🙂

I’m so glad Alan uses his powers for good!
. . . And I’m really glad Kait doesn’t have them. 😀
Alan is a good guy. 🙂 Kait isn’t bad, just a gal who tries to hard to be liked.
Great snippet–I’m anxious to see what happens next.

Carrie-Anne,
It’s about time, don’t you think? lol
No more Alan, no more Kait. Time for our girl to get to know Alan a wee bit more : )
Millie,
Never fear… she will!
Alan apparently has learned the mysterious ways of both dog and drunk whisperer.
Couldn’t he have done that a bit sooner? I’m glad she is finally gone. 🙂
