Fake Marriage with a Dash of Desire, my western novella, featured in Hot Western Nights.
This is in Nash’s POV.
This Week’s Snippet Below: We’re jumping ahead a few paragraphs. Lulu confirmed that Stanfield was still out in the hall, while Jewel finished dressing.

The pixie’s gaze narrowed in on the window, and she hurried over to it, sliding it open. The muted sounds from outside came in loud and clear. Wagon wheels squeaking, horses snorting, and the murmur of conversations filtered in on the hot breeze. Even the music from the saloon wafted in like a pied-piper melody. Maybe the woman was, indeed, a fairy, for it sure appeared as if she planned to fly out of the window.
“Are you plumb crazy?” At least Lulu saw how foolish it would be to climb out the window. “You can’t go out there.”
The pixie’s too-kissable mouth curved into a wide grin. “Sure I can, Lulu. The climb is easy.”

She’s got spunk. Your description of the sounds from outside really helped to set the scene.
Ed,
She sure does have spunk. I’m glad the imagery of the sounds helped to set the scene.
She’s accomplished her goal, and now she’s heading out. Will Nash stop her?
Jessica,
You’ll have to wait and see.
She’s certainly keeping his interest, whether she intends it or not.
Aurora,
Yes, she has him intrigued.
What an interesting scene. I completely enjoyed the scene.
Charmaine,
I’m so glad you did.
Wow, she is one brave (or foolish) and certainly audacious lady!!! I’m in the edge of my chair, wondering what she’ll do next. Excellent excerpt!
Veronica,

Nancy,
She is sassy, isn’t she? lol And yes, she’s definitely caught his interest.

Diane,
She doesn’t scare easily. lol
Heh, sounds like someone who doesn’t fear the crazy. Great snippet, Karen.
He’s rather intrigued by it. lol
Is she a tomboy or a circus acrobat? Or just plain out of options? I think I’d take my chances inside with Nash rather than climb out that window. This a a great story with lots of wonderful details. Can’t wait for more!
Jenna,
She’s a free spirit. You’ll come to know why her peculiar ways aren’t all that strange. lol
Hmmm, sounds like she’s all too familiar with escaping through windows. 😉 I’m loving this story!
Teresa,
Hmm… You might be right. 🙂
