Maverick smoothed down his hair, the strands still damp from his shower. He wore blue jeans and a short-sleeve T-shirt. The weather was comfortable despite the heat earlier in the day, thanks to the Santa Ana winds California was plagued with this time of year. There would be hot, dry weather for the next few days according to his weather app on his phone.
The door swung open. Rowan chose to wear laid back attire too– jeans and a loose white blouse, and tennis shoes. “Hi,” she said with a smile and stepped outside to lock her door. His gaze slid down as he admired how those jeans fit her curves. Luckily, he had refocused his gaze by the time she turned her baby blues on him.
“You ready?” he asked.

Three decades later, a thirty-year-old woman, Rowan Beckett recalls things only Haley Rose would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing 80s star. However, Rowan couldn’t be the missing rock star since the woman would now be in her fifties. Could Haley Rose have come back reincarnated as Rowan Beckett?
