Twirl and Dip (WIP)
She nodded with a hint of a smile. “We told your manager you were fine, and you would get in touch. He seemed relieved after he realized who Maverick was and his connection with the Roadside Reapers.”
“Thank you. Believe me it wasn’t my intention to cause so much trouble.”
Rowan reached for the carafe on the counter and topped off his coffee cup with the warm brew. “The woman back home… Do you love her?” Rowan asked as she met his gaze.
He didn’t expect the question, but he didn’t have to think about the answer. “I do.”
That’s the ten. Here’s a little more to finish the scene.
She nodded as if she approved and he rather liked that she did. “Sometimes, all we need is a second chance.”

Nice sene. Rowan seems to have made a connection with him. So, he’s declared his feelings for Eastyn. Now, to act on it and convince her that he deserves a second chance. Good scene!
