It’s Six Sentence Sunday! This is the 6th tidbit from Twilight’s Eternal Embrace. (vampire/historical/upper YA).
In this scene: Adryanna is in the barn, readying her horse so she can meet Bram. Her father has cornered her and tells her how worried he is for he safety. (This is before his scene with Bram.) In this scene, he only suspects her involvement with an Oiche Sith (vampire).
Now the six:

“I know your moods, daughter. You are hiding something and I fear it is a dangerous secret.”
She glanced at him with a smile. “I am not hiding anything. Truly Father, you let your imagination run away with you.”
Edryd’s gaze shifted to her neck and she pulled her shawl closer about her.
