Set up for the scene: Michaela agrees to let Alan and Hyatt give her a tour of the loch so she can search for the legendary Loch Ness Monster. They’ve arrived in front of Castle Urquhart where most of the sightings of the Loch Ness Monster have been. Michaela says she’d like to take a tour of the Castle and Alan offers to give her a lift there tomorrow. She may or may not accept, but Alan is hopeful.

When she turned away, his gaze caught sight of his brother staring at him in disbelief. Well, he was little surprised at himself, too. Michaela snapped a few pictures of the castle with her pocket size camera. Her interest was genuine. Now if she would look at him with the same passion, he’d know she felt the pull as he did.
Chapter 3 (a few sentences later…)
Hyatt helped Michaela out of the boat, holding her longer than necessary. His lips curved into a wicked smile while his eyes sparkled mischievously. “So Michaela from the States, what do ye have planned for the rest of the day?”

I think Michaela may have plans soon. lol

Thanks. 🙂
I’m curious too; what are her plans? “his gaze caught sight of his brother staring at him…” Try: “he caught his brother staring at him…” and it’s a good job 🙂
Rayne,
Glad you enjoyed the snippet!
Maybe it’s just because I’m tired and cranky and don’t feel good, but I really wish Alan would slap Hyatt around a bit. Or more than a bit. (Yes, I get violent when I don’t feel good. LOL)
P.T.,
I promise you, Hyatt will grow on you. 🙂
I like the rivalry between the brothers for the same woman. I wonder what Alan’s reaction will be if Michaela’s future plans involve Hyatt instead of him!
Carrie-Ann,
Wait and see. 🙂
Haha! Sometimes it’s good when other make your plans 😉
