NOOK
Set up for the scene: While Michaela is waiting for Hyatt to chat with his brother, she has time to hash over her attraction she has for Alan. Sometimes the heart just wants what it wants. No matter how crazy it seems. lol In this snippet, we find out what Alan and Hyatt are discussing. It’s a few paragraphs later with Hyatt speaking first.
***Note: Snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit.

“Doonae change what is meant to be. Arenae these yer words?”
“I gave her comfort for the day. Nothin’ more.”
“All I’m goin’ to do is feed her because if ye hadnae noticed, she’s nothin’ but skin and bones. So for once, will ye feck off?”
Hyatt turned to leave, but Alan’s hand snaked out to stop him. “Doonae hurt her, Hyatt.”
***********************************************************************************************************
Alan is worried about Michaela. He lips say don’t get involved, but darn that pesky heart. It has a mind of its own. I think Alan isn’t going to let Michaela just walk away. What do you think?

Gemma,
Both men have great qualities. 🙂
Oh, no, Alan isn’t invested in her well-being at all. 😉
Send Hyatt over, please. I like him. 🙂
Sarah,
lol– Hyatt is on his way.
Bless. I think Alan’s heart might not be giving the rest of him a choice!
Karen,
He has no choice at all. lol
No, no, Sarah W! Hyatt needs to come THIS way, please!
Great snippet as always, Karen!
P.T.,
Too funny. I’ll let you two fight over Hyatt.
Alan’s going to listen to his heart, not his brain : ) Least that’s what I suspect.
Millie,
You’re so right. 🙂
Love both brothers and their way of vying for her attention. Great 8, Karen!
JA,
I’m rather fond of both brothers, too. 🙂

I think Alan’s warning is interesting. He’s giving her up to his “better” brother, but he’s no going to let him hurt her. Great snippet, Karen. 🙂

lol– He’s not so vicious, but he’s a bit a of player.
lol Now, now. Play nice, boys.
Sandra,
Do they have to? lol
This was fun to read, even though the dialect spelling was a little distracting when I’m dropped into the middle of it. I wonder if these guys are right about what they think is ‘meant to be’ 🙂
Chris,
You’ll have to read on to find out. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
Typical brothers squabbling over a girl. 🙂 Love the way these two interacted in the book. It was so real to life. Great snippet as always!
