Welcome to Snippet Sunday! This is a snippet from Two Worlds Collided. Only 99¢ for a short time. I really loved Evie and Bellamy’s story. I hope you will too.
LOOKING FOR last week’s SNIPPET from Chapter Two: Snippet #8
Now for Chapter Two – Body Language Snippet #9
About this snippet: We’re skipping ahead a few paragraphs.
Set up for this snippet: Evie tackled Bellamy to the ground in an attempt to save from jumping from the rooftop of the hotel–or so she believed. Bellamy was not pleased and after a few words, stormed back inside the hotel, leaving Evie and Leon behind.
Now for the snippet. There are some tweaks in punctuation. Evie is speaking first.

“Well, that went splendidly,” she muttered. “Why was he up here anyway?”
“Sorry, should have warned you; it’s his thing. When we’re about to begin a tour, he heads for the roof of the first hotel we stay at, to meditate and put him in the right mindset, or so he says.” His shoulders lifted in a shrug as he added, “For good luck, I guess.”
“And I just messed that up.”
“Don’t worry, I have hope he’ll warm up to you. You did speak Romanian to him, right? Usually, he’s thrilled when someone knows the language.”
Maybe, she thought, but not if he believed she was crazy.
*****************************************************************************************************************
On one hand, he may think she’s crazy, but then she did speak Romanian. He might just be intrigued too.
Blurb for Two Worlds Collided: (Time Travel, rating: 17+ years and older)
Evie Reid on a whim agrees to travel back in time to change bad boy Bellamy Lovel’s path of destruction. She’s smart with a college degree, but she is still fan-girl crazy for the rock band, Civilized Heathens. Evie knows despite all Bellamy’s smiles and enthusiasm on the stage, he’s destined to end it all on one lonely night in a hotel room unless she can change his path.
Bellamy isn’t keen on having Evie as his personal assistant, hired by his band mates to watch over him, and keep him on schedule. However, there is something about the woman that sparks his interest, despite his best to ignore her. When darkness threatens to consume him, he realizes she may be the only light that will chase the shadows away.

I love that she knows Romanian!
Nancy,
Thank you. 🙂
She’s definitely not off to a great start with him. I hope she’s able to turn things around with Bellamy.
Jessica,
That is her hope. 🙂 We will have to see.
Crazy or not, she speaks Romanian: that, at least, should intrigue him.
Pt,
Yes, it does or so we can hope. 🙂
Some people like crazy!
lol- you are so right. 🙂
Great snippet, though someone might have warned the poor girl. Hopefully, he didn’t think she was insane.:)
Intriguing. Great snip.
Angelica,
Thank you.
Interesting that he has such a penchant for rooftops. Can’t wait to see what happens next – great snippet…
Veronica,
I’m glad you’re intrigued. Since she knows his future, it was no wonder she freaked when he was on the rooftop, but she’ll have to remember to keep her cool if she has any chance of changing that future.
There’s always an angle to each story. An intrigue so appealing!
Charmaine,
Thank you.
Definitely off on the wrong foot with him. Hope she can remedy the situation. Great snippet.
Diane,
She’ll have another chance. 🙂
Without the benefit of her future-based hindsight, I’d say she did overreact. But I have the feeling she’ll win him over–she is determined, after all.
She mistakes meditation for suicide? Not good, not good.
Ed,
Unfortunately, as in quite a few cases, no one realized Bellamy was considering ending it all.
Gotta love rockstar quirks… 😉
Amy,
Yes, you do. 🙂
She’s building on something good with him. Great snippet
He’s a man with habits, although the meditation doesn’t quite jive with his suicide. I wonder if she’s going to find another reason for the “suicide”.
I hope that’s not going to distract him so much that he’ll actually kill himself because she is too much of a disturbance.
Sounds like she at least got his attention! Good snippet.
Nice–that you establish his penchant for time on the roof. Makes me wonder if the roof will be weapon of his choice to end it all. 🙂
Whoever said there was anything wrong with crazy? LOL. I wonder where she learned Romanian though.
Daelyn,
There’s a reason. 🙂
