Welcome to Snippet Sunday! This is a snippet from Two Worlds Collided. Only 99Β’ for a short time. I really loved Evie and Bellamy’s story. I hope you will too.
LOOKING FOR last week’s SNIPPET from Chapter Three: Snippet #2
Now for Chapter 3Β – Building Bridges Snippet #3
About this snippet: We’re skipping ahead a few paragraphs.
Recap of last week’s snippet: Bellamy didn’t like that his bandmates hired Evie to babysit him. His ploy to make her quit backfired on him when she saw right through his charade. She told him she needed the job and he needed someone to keep him on time. It was a win-win for both of them. She’s now waiting for his answer.
Now for the snippet. There are some tweaks in punctuation.

“Deal,” Bellamy finally voiced, “I wouldn’t want you to starve on my account.” He headed for the door but turned back with his hand on the doorknob. “You certainly are a surprise, Miss Book Marm.”
Miss Book Marm? Not exactly a compliment, but truly did she expect him to see her as a sexy attractive woman? Even though she knew it, he confirmed she wasn’t his type. “Well, so are you,” she threw back and he chuckled, and this time his smile was warm and genuine.
“I’ll make sure Leon gives you the itinerary.”
She didn’t take a full breath until he had closed the door behind him. She was in.
*****************************************************************************************************************
Bellamy accepted her presence and Evie will have her shot at changing his future.
This will have to be my last snippet for Two Worlds Collided. Thank you so much for reading and commenting and thank you so much for those who read the story and left a review. Much appreciated. π
I’ll have something different next week. π
Evie Reid on a whim agrees to travel back in time to change bad boy Bellamy Lovel’s path of destruction. She’s smart with a college degree, but she is still fan-girl crazy for the rock band, Civilized Heathens. Evie knows despite all Bellamy’s smiles and enthusiasm on the stage, he’s destined to end it all on one lonely night in a hotel room unless she can change his path.
Bellamy isn’t keen on having Evie as his personal assistant, hired by his band mates to watch over him, and keep him on schedule. However, there is something about the woman that sparks his interest, despite his best to ignore her. When darkness threatens to consume him, he realizes she may be the only light that will chase the shadows away.

Must be a huge relief for her to get in. But, yes, she still needs to change the future. Nice snippet! π
Jessica,
She still has her work cut out for her. “)
He’s sure made her work for this position.
Ed,
Yes, she does. She may be in, but it doesn’t mean he’s going to let her hang around him. π
Wonderfully spunky. A fine ending for this snippet. Happy sales, Karen. And Happy Holidays.
Charmaine,
Thank you so much.
“Miss Book Marm” Oh well, I hope he warms up to her. Maybe he needs to try a different type!
Aurora,
She just might be his type–maybe. π
I have a feeling she’ll keep surprising him. π
Amy,
Of course, she does. lol
Interesting. Leaves me with all kinds of questions.
Well that was the first big hurdle (after time traveling LOL), so probably a good place to leave us. I hope the book is doing well – enjoyed all the snippets!

Don’t underestimate those Book Marms, dude! I”m guessing that impression will soon be changing. Nice job, Karen!!
Nancy,
So very true. lol
They sure got off to a rocky start, but … she’s in!
Christina,
Yes, she is, but Bellamy isn’t going to make her job easy. lol
All right, she’s in! Now he’s isn’t prepared for what’s going to hit him. Good snippet.
Diane,
No, he isn’t. π
A little acceptance is still acceptance. Now she has something to build on!
Caitlin,
Exactly. π
A “Miss Book Marm” could turn out to be exactly the opposite of what he expects, since appearances can be deceiving. You know what they say about those quiet ones!
Carrie-Anne,
I do believe he will be surprised some more. lol Also Evie knows all about Bellamy, but this her reading about him, watching documentaries. Now, she’s getting the chance to really see the man.
Wow. Diverting his future is sure going to take some doing.
Aldrea,
Yes, it will and there’s a good chance she won’t make a difference at all.
Not his type… But I wonder how many people’s “type” is what they really need?
Great snippet, Karen. I liked that they were able to accept each other, even if I have a feeling all will not be smooth sailing.
She’s in … look forward to reading more π
He seems to be warming up to her. I hope that will be enough to save him.
