The CONTEST IS CLOSED The winner is Cynthia Powers! Congratulations. Thank you, everyone, for playing along.
Witch Brew and Finger Licking Treats
My friends and I love Halloween and we enjoy tea parties. So we thought of a way to combine the two by having a Witch Tea Party. We all dust off our witch hats and conjure up our favorite dish to go with our hot brew.
I made maple pecan scones in the shape of fingers and added an almond slice for the nail. They were finger-licking good – if I do say so myself. I also made pumpkin shaped cucumber sandwiches with slim slices of carrots for the eyes and mouth.
We had fun eating, drinking and chatting the afternoon away.

About Two Worlds Collided:
Evie Reid on a whim agrees to travel back in time to change bad boy Bellamy Lovel’s path of destruction. She’s smart with a college degree, but she is still fan-girl crazy for the rock band, Civilized Heathens. Evie knows despite all Bellamy’s smiles and enthusiasm on the stage, he’s destined to end it all on one lonely night in a hotel room unless she can change his path.
Bellamy isn’t keen on having Evie as his personal assistant, hired by his band mates to watch over him, and keep him on schedule. However, there is something about the woman that sparks his interest, despite his best to ignore her. When darkness threatens to consume him, he realizes she may be the only light that will chase the shadows away.

Fun, Prizes & Great Books! Trick or Treat with us from Oct. 26-31st
Great post. 1. My decorations are my tradition. 2. We dress up when we go to Halloween parties. 3. I just moved to a great neighborhood and one of my neighbors throws a huge Halloween party every year. I can’t wait.
Sounds like you’re going to have fun. 🙂
Oh my! Your maple pecan scones really do look like fingers! Love it. I always dress up for Halloween. I have a barber shop so I like to dress up for my customers. This year I think I’ll be a mad scientist.
Great costume choice. 🙂 The scones may look creepy, but they were delicious!
It’ so cool you dress up and cook for Halloween! Since my daughter grew and left the nest, the day isn’t as much fun for me anymore. YOU look like you have a lot of fun! Bravo!
Peggy,
We sure did. Thanks so much for stopping by.
since i moved to bigger home the kid came over put halloween stuff up but i am making 150 bags of goodies i am not give out candy i will hand a bag to each kid color book activity kits and pen pencil
Desiree,
That’s so sweet of you. That’s great treat.
No traditions, no dressing up, and no parties. I know, I’m a Halloween party-pooper, lol. But your Witch Tea Party sounds like a lot of fun and the food looks yummy!
Darlene,
The tea party was indeed a lot of fun. 🙂
We used to make scary foods, dress up, etc, but now that my youngest has just left for college, we need to find new traditions. Our favorite tradition during trick or treat was to turn on eerie lights and a fog machine, then dress as a witch and lower candy by from the balcony by chain in a “cauldron” to the kids squealing below. Happy Halloween!
Great post, Karen!I love the idea of combining a tea party with Halloween. We actually celebrate the Celtic feast of Samhain earlier in the evening with an Irish feast. Then, I dress up as a witch or medieval lady to pass out candy. Halloween party? Not in several years. Usually I get together a few weeks before Halloween and have a girl’s weekend with my daughters. Fun, laughter, and scary movies are always on the agenda.
Love the witch tea party, Karen! I dressed as a witch one year, but I didn’t have a tea party.
Love dressing up. Love the dressing up as a witch the best. 🙂
Every year we read Jack Pretlusky’s It’s Halloween with the kids. I’d like Flowers & Fangs, please. Thanks for the chance.
Having a party with fun food sounds like the kind of Halloween party I’d like. I’m not into scaring people or dressing up, so a witch’s hat on my head would do the trick. Very nice post! Happy Halloween.
Thank you for being in the blog hop!
The only tradition we have is carving pumpkins. I don’t dress up or go to parties anymore.
Carving our pumpkins is our tradition. We wear costumes and usually go to a party.
i just moved to new house s id d not decorte this year i live in country but trunk or treat going to be me
The only tradition really is that I usually carve a fancy pumpkin, and watch Sleepy Hollow. I do like my Johnny Depp.
I’d like a copy of Collided if I win.
Love Johnny Depp too. 🙂
Thank you, everyone, for hopping with us! Enjoyed reading your traditions, costumes, and favorite movies. 🙂 Now for the the winner… Drumroll please…the winner is Cynthia Powers! Congratulations!
