End of the Road is available in an audiobook editio. The talented Kelly Jackson is the narrator!
I thought I’d share a snippet from the story.
Cecilia arrived at her mother’s home to find her mother a drunken mess. Not a surprise since for 23 years she’s celebrated the anniversary of her husband’s death in this manner.
Snippet:
“Right after your father died, you would come in here and stare at this beat
She shook her head. Of course, she didn’t. She was a toddler and those memories at that age were far and in between and a bit fuzzy at best. “You would say: Daddy’s playing his guitar and singing to me.” Her mother pulled her wrap closer around her for what little good the thin piece of material would do to keep her warm. “You were always his little girl and even in death, you loved him more than me.”

A ghost, his daughter, and a past that haunts them both. End of the Road will lead them to the truth.
(Rock Star Romance)
Lars Gunner, the frontman for Silent Plaids, died 23 years ago and his death was ruled an unfortunate accident. Despite the fact he can’t recall what happened to him in his last moments of life, he is convinced he was murdered. He has been trapped in limbo until his daughter, Cecilia, unearths his journal and is able to see him. She seeks help from Kaleb, a psychic, but as they resurrect the past, the secrets and lies surrounding Lars’ rock and roll life just may be the death of them too.
Thanks for bringing this back. A very touching story.
Charmaine,
Thank you.
I remember this story! Seems the mother has a lot of issues that she’s hiding with alcohol.
Jessica,
Yes, her mother does. 🙂
How sad! It makes such a barrier between mother and daughter.
They definitely have some issues to deal with their relationship.
I remember really enjoying the snippets from this story! It was so much more complex than even I expected…best wishes on the audiobook and great excerpt.
Veronica,
I’m so glad you enjoyed the snippets.
Oh, very interesting indeed! I feel sad for the mother but sorry for the daughter for having to endure her mother’s drunken diatribe. I know how it feels to be on the receiving end of such things. It is not fun.
It is very difficult. So sorry you had to endure such a relationship.
I remember this one! Good story.
Ed,
Thank you.
How cool that this is on audible, now! This is a good story. 🙂
Teresa,
Thank you. I’m so thrilled.
Great to hear this is now on audio. I’m going to have to add it to my Library. I loved the previous excerpts – as well as this one.
Hywela,
Thank you. I have some freebie codes. Let me know if you’d like one. UK codes- does that work for you?
I’m glad you brought this story back. The relationship between mother and daughter is so sad. They should be comforting each other, instead of Mom’s jealousy.
Diane,
They do have some issues. 🙂
I remember this story. Spooky good reading. Congrats on the audio release.
Nancy,
Thank you so much.
