Heart and Soul is a WIP.
This is in Maverick’s POV. Continuing from last week. He’s talking to Katie about the new guy she’s dating.
This Week’s Snippet Below.

“I know.” She worried her lower lip.
“What is it?”
“Spike is going to school, too. He wants to be a chef.”
“A chef?” He lifted a brow as he tried to imagine tattooed biker-guy in the kitchen whipping up a soufflé.
“I was wondering,” Katie continued, “if he could try out some of his recipes at the Heart and Soul.”
“We’re not a full-service restaurant, Katie.”
“I know but his desserts are scrumptious.”

About Heart and Soul…

80s rock star, Haley Rose went missing without a trace on October 31, 1988, and was eventually presumed dead. Three decades later, a thirty-year-old woman, Rowan Beckett recalls things only Haley Rose would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing 80s star. However, Rowan couldn’t be the missing rock star since the woman would now be in her fifties. Could Haley Rose have come back reincarnated as Rowan Beckett?
That should sweeten the pot. 😉 Good snippet, Karen.
Interesting. This Spike is full of surprises. I wonder if Maverick will give him a chance.
Letting an unknown guy bake for them could be fraught with possible issues. I hope he checks out Spike, and if he seems clean, lets him bake.
Using her connection to help “biker boy” get a start. Itmight be fun to read. lol Great snippet, Karen!
I’m sure the idea is tempting, and the tattooed character most likely a great magnet 😉
Always fascinating, my friend.
Wow – another twist. Obviously Spike is multi-talented. But where does it leave Rowan?
I’m all about desserts – give the guy a chance! He’d be like the host of Restaurant Impossible.
(Raises hand) I want to sample these desserts!!! Sounds like a great idea to me and I love this whole plot twist. Such fun…terrific snippet!
Can’t refuse a desert – give the guy a chance! 🙂
I love his image of Spike in the kitchen. 🙂
