He glanced at her. “We’ve been going down there for years. No one has turned us in yet. Just think of this adventure as a night hike with ghost stories. Jared, the tour guide has some great tales and he is one of our local police officers. I doubt he’ll be turning us in to the authorities.” He grinned. “I think I mentioned he’s the owner’s nephew.”
She shook her head but her lips curved and relief spread through him. He didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable.
