This is in Maverick’s POV. Maverick and Rowan are driving to participate in a ghost tour. Maverick mentioned his old bandmate, Stevie, and his overdose.

“People make their own choices, Maverick,” she said softly. “Stevie probably wouldn’t have listened to you even if you did stay.”
She had that right. He had tried to reason with the bastard before he fired him. He’d been too pissed to fight back and tell Stevie he wasn’t leaving. By that time, he’d had enough of the drama the guy brought into their lives.
When they arrived at the water park entrance, there were already quite a few people standing at the side of the road. He found a parking space and they walked back to the group. Twenty-three were signed up for the ghost tour, according to Jared’s list of names. Jared was tall, lean and in his late 40s with thinning hair.

You always make me chuckle. The ghost tour is at an abandoned water park.
I actually drove by an abandoned water park on the way to Las Vegas and thought it would make a great backdrop for this story with a bit of twist of course.
Wow, that’s a lot of people for a ghost tour. I wonder if any ghost in its right mind would appear to so many people at once LOL? Enjoying the story, can;t wait to see what you do spring on the characters as they do this tour.

Sadly, as others have said, if someone doesn’t want to be helped there’s nothing you can do. I’m wondering what’s going to happen on this ghost tour – very intriguing!
