“I don’t bed every pretty woman I meet,” he said defensively. He may have in the past but in the last few years, he’d changed his ways. He was more selective. He even had an adult relationship that lasted more than a few months. The last one had made it to four months to be exact until said girlfriend decided she wanted a boyfriend who was a rock star and not one that had been a rock star. So what was Katie complaining about?
She took a seat at the counter. “I’ve been working with you from the beginning.”

Well, four months might not be long, but if the lack of him being the “rockstar boyfriend” was the only issue behind the girlfriend leaving, then I’d be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Providing he is truly sincere about the “changing his ways” bit.
His thoughts made me chuckle. Four months in a relationship … well hello …. and what a bad reason to leave him. Hope he’ll find somebody for longer soon.
Now comes the lecture. LOL Katie has his number. I don’t have a sense (or missed it earlier) of their relationship. Buddies? Has she had a crush on him that he never notices? Big sister?
