Happy Sunday!
How did you spend your weekend?
I went to the movies yesterday and saw Pacific Rim starring Charlie Hunnam. (He’s quite a looker. :)) The movie will probably tickle Godzilla fans. I sure was entertained.
If you have a chance, check out Deborah MacGillivray’s tales at KMN Books .Falling in love again…and again.
What are you reading?

Michaela Grant travels to Scotland for a holiday, knowing this vacation is her last. A medical condition threatens her life and any chance of a future—until she meets Alan MacLachlin, a man forced to exist between two worlds.
Alan is the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Once every fifty years he returns to human form in search of his soul mate, the one woman who can break his curse. He believes he has found forever with Michaela, but to claim it he must figure out how to save her life.
Michaela and Alan vow to take what time has to offer, but another threat looms. A sinister shape shifter with a vendetta against Alan is making Loch Ness his personal hunting ground. Now he’s threatening Michaela. Alan must discover who the shifter is and stop him before it’s too late.

Set up for the scene: Michaela agrees to let Alan and Hyatt give her a tour of the loch so she can search for the legendary Loch Ness Monster. As Hyatt and Michaela conversed, Alan familiarized himself with Michaela’s subtle expressions.
Now for the snippet: (Alan’s POV)
The slight tilt of her head when enthralled with a story, a curve of her lips when amused, but her last expression had him puzzled. She blinked her eyes as if a piece of lint irritated them. Something had changed and not for the good. Her pallor turned ashen and her fingertips sought her temple with a quick massage. Aah, she did well, forcing the headache not to take hold; if she hadn’t rubbed the side of her head, he would have missed her discomfort.
He slowed the boat not caring they were in the middle of the loch.

What do think Alan is going to do?

I’m betting Alan is about to demonstrate some of those healing powers on Michaela and, just maybe, find out that she’s not the only one affected by the contact! 🙂
I’m listening to The Alienist this week, indulging my passion for historical mysteries. I love the setting, 1890s Manhattan.

Aren’t surprises fun. 🙂
I still have to chuckle at your use of the “monster”. I like seeing where you’re taking this!
Come on Alan give the poor girl some aspirin. 🙂
lol– Oh what he has planned is much better.
Nice to see he’s observant of her health, not just stalking her like some kind of monster. 😉 I like him.
