This is one of the best time travel books I have ever read. Aislinn, our heroine travels back in time to Ireland through a strange mist with a handsome stranger her family has taken in. She soon adapts to life in sixteenth century Ireland where she faces a tumultuous world that is full of intrigue and mystery.The handsome stranger, Dougray Fitzpatrick, is everything a girl dreams about in a macho man. It doesn’t take long for Dougray and Aislinn to butt heads but of course, they cannot fight their budding attraction to each other. Aislinn soon becomes known as Scathach, a legendary warrior woman and goddess known for her extraordinary fighting skills. Aislinn fits in perfectly with the clan and makes friends by helping others.With her oddly open ways,she soon has the loyalty of Dougray’s clan except for a few with betrayal on their minds.I won’t ruin the rest by saying to much, but I found it hard to put this book down and was so sad when I got to the last page. I hope Ms. Nutt continues to write and a sequel would be most welcome by this reader.I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to escape for awhile into a richly detailed fantasy.
