Maverick strode over to him and took his hand in a warm handshake. “Dude, it’s been ages. I’ve kept up with your band. You’re making headlines.”
“Yeah, it’s been a ride.”
The dark-haired woman approached them now. “Hello,” she said, and her bright blue eyes met his, her smile friendly and welcoming.
Maverick pulled her in close. “This is Rowan Beckett, my fiancée,” he said it with pride. “Drake Tennyson,” he offered the introductions.

So far, so calm, as far as old friends catching up with each other. I do admire the way you handle conversation! Makes me feel mellow and part of the scene…great snippet!
