Plans for the future. Twirl and Dip #SnipSun #snippetsunday

Twirl and Dip (WIP) Drake’s POV (Drake is speaking first.)

“Your manager won’t be pleased, I’m assuming.”

“Not especially since he wanted me and the band huddling together to write our next album. We haven’t even finished our tour for this one.”

Maverick nodded with understanding. He’d been there. “So what’s the plan besides staying here for the night?”

He ran a hand through his hair. “I’m going home.”

“Home?” Maverick asked in surprise. “Home as in Hartsville?”

Possible Blurb:

Eastyn has her soda shop to run and specialty ice creams to create. Only the place is falling apart, and she may have a haunted jukebox that chooses songs to communicate. If things couldn’t get any more complicated, Drake, her ex-fiancé, returns home after five years on the road with his rock band, Never Mind the Damage.

Eastyn vows not to fall for Drake’s charms again, but when you have a lifetime of memories with the man, the heart seems not to care about pledges. Her haunted jukebox believes choosing the right song to twirl and dip to is the answer to everything. However, Eastyn isn’t convinced. She wants to know if Drake is home for good, or will he break her heart all over again?

Latest Audiobook Release.

Two Worlds Collided is one of my favorite tales about time travel, romance, and second chances. You can revisit the story at Audible, or if you haven’t read it yet, experience the adventure for the first time as the narrator opens the door to a new world. That’s right. You heard it hear first. Two Worlds Collided is available in an audiobook format narrated by the talented Sharmila Devar.

Are you excited yet? Yes, you say. Me, too.

  1. Interesting twist. As for the blurb, I’m with Eastyn – is Drake just going to take off? And how does a jukebox know what’s right for anyone? Good snippet, Karen.

  2. So he isn’t in Hartsville yet, okay that makes sense. I can’t wait to see what happens when he gets there.

  3. Going home will no doubt not turn out the way he’s expecting or hoping. It does seem as if he’s just running away from all the expectations (but also doesn’t his band need him???). Hmmm. I’m intrigued – enjoyed the snippet!

  4. Yes! And what does Maverick think about this? I’d expect him to be sympathetic, since he’s been there, done that more than just the band. 🙂 Great snippet, Karen. 🙂
